Summary:
Little Baby Mummy is about to go to bed but he begs Big Mamma Mummy for one more game of "hide and shriek". And so he goes and hides and waits for his Mummy, but when she doesn't turn up, he goes looking for her in the spookery woods. Along the way he comes across a skeleton, a blob and a vampire who all advise him to go to bed as it's scary in the woods. But he isn't scared until he comes across a tiny wee mouse.

Review:
Yes the setting is a graveyard and spookery woods and yes some of the characters are what is conventionally deemed as frightening. But when the twist is that the scariest thing in the book is a little mouse, it really is a light-hearted read. The illustrations are gorgeous and our Little Baby Mummy is adorable. Big Mama Mummy gave us a few giggles when we first read it, and with Bones brushing his teeth, Glob washing his face and Drac cleaning his ears, this story goes out of it's way to take the creepy away.

A lot of onomatopoeia, and a lot of fun adjectives makes it an interesting out-loud read. And of the 5 library books we have at the moment, this is the one my 2-year-old has fixated on, his must-read.

Entertaining and a little different than the norm, a 4/5 rating from us.
