I am pleased to be able to tell you some of the fabulous titles that I have to give away when we reach 250 reviews - there will be more books to come yet, so watch for updates of titles.
Kindly donated from Porirua Library, courtesy of Bee (the wonderful children's librarian) are these three books:
Fox in Socks - a timeless classic. This copy comes with an audio tape, so you can enjoy reading along, listening to the tape by itself, or reading the book by itself.
Learn to Skateboard with Luka - a fantastic book for boys, written in both English and Te Reo Maori.
Otis - a beautiful tale about a tractor and a calf, and the friendship they form.
Porirua Library is one of my favourite places to visit - they have a fantastic children's library with a huge selection of books for children of all ages. The librarians there clearly love their job, and have a great preschool programme - story time every Wednesday and Friday, and Baby Time on Thursdays. They also run holiday programmes for school-aged children, which is always very popular. Many thanks to Bee for advertising 1001 Book Reviews for Kids to parents that come to the library and for the three books (above), which some lucky people will be receiving soon!

Five Minutes' Peace - a book that appeals to mothers as much as it does the children!
Wilbie & Harry - a lovely story about friendship and sharing.
Em's Gems is a new business, started by my best friend - she makes and sells the most gorgeous fondant cake toppers - perfect for children's birthday cakes, and even for the grown-ups.
