Review:
Every preschooler will recognise themself in this book - the pigeon really wants a puppy, Right now. He's wanted it "forever. At least since last Tuesday"

A laugh-out-loud book, this story from Mo Willems (author of the Elephant and Piggie books) will amuse the adults as much as the children. Written with speech bubbles, and using the size of the text to indicate emotion (small writing when the pigeon is sulking, and massive writing when he's scared by the puppy, for example), it's a great story to read out loud to pre-readers, and for beginner readers to read out loud to parents.

4.5 out of 5
