First published in 1982, this is another kiwi classic from the beloved Lynley Dodd. This is the story of the littlest turtle, who hatches after his brothers and sisters have left for their journey to the sea. Small and late he may be, but with the constant refrain of "to the sea - to the sea" playing in his mind urging him on, he finally makes it to his destination.
This is filled with everything we have come to know and love from Dodd - gorgeous illustrations, fantastic adjectives and repetition of key phrases to encourage familiarity and confidence in our emerging readers. Our rating is a 4/5
